Dear Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki Descendents, Friends and Family,

Our reunions that started in 2011 reaffirm our collective commitment to remember our families and for one day unite to celebrate the pre-war magnificent Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki Jewish community.

In 2019, through Mr. Grzybowski’s initiative and efforts, and with the support of Mayor Kowalski and local military authorities, a significant number of additional Matzevot, buried under the streets of Nowy Dwor were excavated!  As a result, a second memorial wall was being constructed next to the 2011 original memorial wall and was inaugurated on Thursday, June 6, 2019.  The two Matzevot memorial walls on one side of the plaza, and the family memorial stones in honor of family members who perished in the Holocaust located on the opposite side of the plaza, created a magnificent and moving display in honor of pre-war Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki Jewish residents.

The last year’s high school essay competition was especially significant in light of recent events and 100-year anniversary of Polish independence established by General and statesman Józef Pilsudski in 1918.  The essay competition on the subject of tolerance and dialog is an important tradition and an integral part of our reunions.  The essay competition is spearheaded by Mrs. Beata Kisiel and Mayor Kowalski.  We were honored and delighted to have at the 2019 year’s essay competition the attendance of our two dear sponsors, Mrs. Ingrid Lee and Mr. John Kerr!
